I’m always excited when I see book wallpaper. Some part of me wishes I could live in an old-fashioned library, with books all the way up to the ceiling, and a towering ladder to reach them. This dream started back when I was in elementary school, when I would have loved to have this “Library” wallpaper in my bedroom. Designed by Tom Slaughter, this book wallpaper is part of Cavern Home’s artist series. Cavern Home is a boutique wallpaper design firm, and they have many beautiful non-bookish designs too. Check them out here. For black-and-white book wallpaper in a different style, check out this earlier post.

Hi,
I bookmarked your blog sometime ago (sorry, but I can’t remember how I found it) and when I revisited it today, I found that you relocated to this absolutely neat site!
This post about book wallpapers and dreaming of libraries reminds me of dreams I once had. I can recall thinking to myself on many an occasion that when I grew up that I would live in a grand house with many rooms. The details of the furnishings and decorations in these rooms were all a blur to me. All except the room that was the library and study! I would imagine myself spending hours sitting in a great armchair devouring wonderful books….
Ah to dream!
